WHAT IS THE WHSG?
|
WHSG stands for Western Hemisphere Shorebird Group, an organization that promotes discussions and actions for the conservation of shorebirds and their ecosystems in the western hemisphere.
It was established in 2006 to hold its first meeting in Boulder, Colorado, USA. The Western Hemisphere Shorebird Group meeting (WHSGM) is the only event specifically designed to encourage exchange and collaboration among North American, Central and South American shorebird scientists and conservationists - who share the same shorebird species during the non-breeding, migration and breeding seasons. To join the WHSG listserv go to: https://www.fws.gov/lists/listinfo/whsg and enter your e-mail address.
